Pacific Roots Foundation is being established to help address these gaps in Curry County, Oregon. We envision a community where individuals and families can find pathways to support, connection, and opportunity, regardless of their financial circumstances or the challenges they face.

We believe that when we invest in people, strengthen families, and work together as a community, we create the foundation for lasting change.

Roots provide stability, nourishment, and connection. They help living things withstand difficult conditions and continue to grow.

We chose the name Pacific Roots Foundation to reflect our connection to the Oregon coast and our belief that strong communities grow from a foundation of care, compassion, and shared responsibility.

Like roots beneath the surface, meaningful community support isn't always visible. It can look like helping a new-parent access essential supplies, connecting a family with needed resources, reducing barriers to mental health support, or creating opportunities for children to learn and connect.

Each act of support helps strengthen the larger community.

Curry County is home to resilient individuals, caring families, and people who look out for one another. Yet accessing essential services and resources can be challenging, particularly when financial hardship, transportation, or limited local availability creates additional barriers.

Pacific Roots Foundation aims to work alongside community members, local organizations, schools, and service providers to identify needs and develop practical, compassionate ways to respond.

Our developing areas of focus include:

• Mental health access: Helping reduce financial and practical barriers to support.
• Family resources: Working toward greater access to essential supplies and resources for families, including new parents.
• Transportation and connections: Helping address obstacles that prevent individuals and families from reaching needed resources.
• Children and community: Supporting opportunities for children and families to connect, learn, and thrive.

We are building the foundation for this work through community relationships, collaboration, and the pursuit of sustainable funding. Our programs will grow as resources, partnerships, and organizational capacity allow.

We believe meaningful change is a shared effort. No single person or organization can meet every community need, but together, we can create more possibilities.
